Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q. I would like some further assitance. Whom can I contact?
    A. If you require assistance with your reports, please contact your Account Manager.
  • Q. Can Network Services help with my Trade Marketing activity?
    A. Yes, we have a team of experienced retail and marketing specialists at Head Office who work with our publishers on their circulation and marketing strategy. We are able to assist with point of sale design, merchandising, sampling, fulfilment, advertising and many other aspects of trade marketing.
  • Q. How long will it take me to get sales data and what information will you provide me?
    A. We are able to provide our publishers with a host of information during the life cycle of a magazine. At the very earliest stage scan data can be made available, followed by returns projections and final sales. Generally after 2 weeks off-sale you would expect a good indicator of how the issue has performed. Our publishers can access their very latest sales data via our on-line reporting portal.
  • Q. How many retail outlets can I expect to reach should I distribute through Network Services?
    A. In total we distribute to over 8,000 retailers. There are 5 main categories of retail outlets: Newsagents, Supermarkets, Bookstores, Convenience and Mass Merchants. Due to the sub-agent agreements with Newsagents, your magazine could reach up to a further 20,000 outlets.
  • Q. How long does it take to plan a launch?
    A. Depending on the size of the launch we would normally recommend anything from 3-6 months. Should the publisher require a large retail presence and have a considerable budget we advise as much notice as possible to get the best outcome.
  • Q. How much will it cost me for Network Services to distribute my magazine?
    A. There isn’t a standard rate card for distributing magazines although there are 2 different costing models that are used, factors such as number of titles in the portfolio, volumes and cover prices will have an influence over the final agreement. The two pricing structures are PCD – Per Copy Distributed, the publisher is paid on copies distributed and PCS – Per Copy Sold, the publisher is paid on copies sold.
